Let’s Talk Celebrities

The new Lil-lets teen campaign in the UK features celebrity vlogger Zoella who interviews other celebrities on what it was like being a teenager. They discuss issues such as boys, clothes, friends, mother-daughter relationships and periods.

The interviews are all done in a typical girls’ bedroom and feature radio and television presenter Fearne Cotton (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NdUOhSXXWko) which, at last count, has had 345 647 views. Zoella has also interviewed Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts and actress Alexandra Burke who is currently starring in The Bodyguard in London’s West End (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8aYvGGODu4Q&list=TL4IrE692yxndhFqUSs7OCj4d_E4G2PkOz).

Zoella is that big sister that all young women turn to for advice or simply aspire to be like. She is part fashion guru, part surrogate big sister and agony aunt. She has over four million subscribers who follow her advice on a range of beauty and fashion tips. More than one million people follow her on both Instagram and Twitter. Last year she was crowned Best British Vlogger 2013 at the Radio 1 Teen Awards and this year she has already been awarded the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award in the UK Favourite Vlogger category.
